Hey I’m Alex, a current student at Macquarie University studying my Bachelors degree in Cyber Security.

My current aspiration is getting into the Digital Forensics side of Cyber Security, but I also thoroughly enjoy Systems Security and topics that include Virtualisation technologies and Malware analysis.

I’ve spent the last 2 years developing my skills in IT, Networking, and fundamental cyber security concepts for being able to find a niche in Cyber Security I truly enjoy. I’ve practiced fundamental technical skills throughout my TAFE NSW studies and through online challenge and CTF websites like root-me & PicoCTF and various personal projects.

My blog page will include write-ups for challenges I’ve done on various websites like the aforementioned root-me and PicoCTF, but also websites like OverTheWire and HackTheBox. It might also include any professional progress like Certificates or cheat sheets for various programs I like to use.

So far, my biggest project I’m invested in is my Cosmos Cloud Homelab project. There I aim to create, manage and configure various docker containers to host applications that might be useful for either entertainment or to help me with my studies.

A list of books that I have, am or want to read, they’ll closely relate to cyber security and what im studying at the moment.

I don’t do much programming, but I have dot files or other smaller school projects hosted in GitHub repositories for preservation or easy access. Once I get to the programming section of my degree, I’m sure there will be more activity on it.
